Wireless Scanner
Our wireless scanner
program was developed in conjunction with the
EPIC (Electronic Production Inventory Control )
system. Using wireless bar-code scanners, the
shop floor inventory could quickly and easily be
updated.
Options Page:
The scanner program provided 3 main
functions, Inventory Updates to the
database, Quality Impounds which set a
flag as "not available" in the database,
and Warehouse traceability to easily
find products.
Bar Code
Scanning:
The scan page showed the current
bar-code scanned and the last bar-code
scanned. This makes it very easy to
verify scans.
Authorization Page:
The
Wireless program was set up with user
controlled access to certain scanning
options. The Scanner could be used by
quality personnel to place a product on
hold.
